I want to be able to pack my bags and go to anywhere I like. Now it may seem like I am living in the clouds. But I chose to call our current understanding of freedom as delusion because we all are living a dream(I would rather use the word nightmare). When you are in a dream you are pretty sure it is true and also you are sure that things have always been this way since forever. But its only when you wake up you realize, that was all bullshit. There was a time when the explorers and caravans roamed the earth freely. Now we have border patrol to keep our adventurous ass in check.

It goes like this. Indo-Pak people claim to have gotten freedom in 1947. I however don’t believe I am free anymore to go to Dehli, niether they are free to come to Karachi (not that anyone would like to come to Karachi though). The point is that this abuse of word freedom is so frequent that we miss the point that freedom is being lost.

If Sindhi’s want freedom, then they can say goodbye to lahore and peshawar. Muhajirs (who are no more muhajirs now by the definition of the word) want Jinnahpur. Say goodbye to rest of the Sindh.

What is next, another movement that wants separate state for countless castes that exist in Sindh. Mehristan, jatoistan and on and on. Are we going to have movements for liberating defence, liyari, nazimabad. You might as well want to liberate your kitchen while you are at it. Soon we will need passports to go from the bedroom to the bathroom.

It is indeed an irony in its purest form. Why abuse the term so much. If you want freedom liberate yourself from racism, from religion, from caste culture, from elitist cults. Liberate your thoughts, liberate your speech…

I read once in a book. If you want to rule a group, tell them how they are different from the others.  If all people convert to a single religion be it any, it will collapse itself. It is inherent nature of man to polarize himself. In the coming time it will not be the religions at the opposing poles. It will be rationalty versus irrationality. All the theists that were the cut-throat enemies of each oher will suddenly become friends.

False beliefs survive only in a closed system where there is no influx of information. But in todays world thanks to the countries who promote free speech, ignorance is on the run.

Critical thinking is the only thing that can kill false agendas. If I had the power to teach all the children one thing, it would be critical thinking. Not to take things just as they are presented. To look for the evidence. Big claims need big justifications. Then only will they be protected from the mindraping that happens in the world.

A Failed State

Failed States Index ranks pakistan 10/177. It is an indicator of lack of control of a government upon its people or the absence of a sustainable system to operate a country.

An interesting thing is that even countries even U.S. and U.K. have only been ranked moderately sustainable, however Denmark, Norway, finland, Canada, countries  which have a predominantly unbiased population having no particular belief system have fared better and have been categorized as sustainable.

Possible Reasons

Who is responsible? Ask a Sindhi, he’ll say Punjabi. Ask a civilian he’ll say the military. Ask the Maulana, he will say the Zionists and the america.

But perhaps the best logical way would be to compare ourselves to the nations who are faring better than us. The bad news for the Maulana is that the country that topped the Satisfaction with life index was Denmark.

Now the danes and other Scandinavian nations are neither Christians nor are they Jews. This would perhaps ease the Maulana. And Denmark perhaps has the best social system, even better than U.S.

The question is, is man really flexible enough to adopt to a pattern that clearly yields better results. The answer.. It takes time.

The internet is the only way that can propel the mindset of this region. Yet this race is bent upon destroying its only source of salvation.

Overall I know the world is heading in a better direction and either you are on the ship or you are off it it’s your choice..

And we are the only country to ban these websites. Those who think facebook is suffering a financial loss due to their boycott are idiots. Pakistanis are hardly a target audience for any website that runs ads, niether is pakistan that resourceful nor do we have a trend of online shopping. The only loss that has happened is that an intgrated network of pakistanis all over the country has been disrupted. Now there is no social networking site where pakistanis can communicate properly.

Blocking youtube and wikipedia has again left us resourceless, cuttoff from the countless valuable informative videos and content that now cannot be accessed (or only accessed via a proxy for those who know). When the whole world is moving forward, we have officially proven ourselves as cavemen.

One thing I fail to understand is that what form of protest is this? Close your eyes, close your ears, close your mouth.. Don’t watch, don’t hear. don’t speak.. The three monkeys of gandhi. Now there is no forum where our side of the story can be expresed thanks to the idiot fanatics who only know to yield a dagger and have a brain lobes the size of a peanut..

It’s not strange why people here act in such a way. Sexually frustrated, economically and socially depressed, deprived from all forms of art and recreation and utter scarcity of knowledge. A literal hellhole..

My words may be fiery but the truth always is, there is no enlightenment for this place coming soon. Where people celebrate censorship. I guess it is the last such place left on this planet.. Fit replacement for an anthropology museum..

Then gradually the thrill began to fade. There was nothing new to it. Was the shore that had gone polluted or had he gone depraved? All he could see around was a crowd. Breaking the silent bond that he had with the sea.

The flood lights, the snack shacks, benches and all the decorations added nothing to it. It was just not the same. Nothing compared to the way it felt when he could carelessly splash the water around without caring if it was looking odd.

He had grown up now (or so he thought). It was 1:00 am and the seaside was almost vacant. And for a moment he felt the glimpse of the past. Finally the waves had spoken to him after a long time.

I like to rave on about pointless stuff. Write about nothing in particular and see where it goes. My pointless futile raves on “Just another wordpress blog” will hardly matter. Yet I will write. Although it will be nothing new. Same old complains. Sugar crisis, power shortage, corruption, unemployment.. On and on it goes.  So many problems and all of them stemming from one common crisis. The crisis of character, that has it’s roots in famine and drought.

A lone man walks the desert. The vultures that fly above him keep their eyes fixed. Waiting for the moment he stumbles and falls on the ground. Waiting do devour every inch of meat from him. An oasis is usually a mirage and if he does find one, he has to battle the beasts for a single sip of water. People in the caravans survive and those who walk alone perish. Dacoits rule the land and all are at their mercy. This is the scenario when a man has nothing to eat, nothing to drink and no safe haven to sleep. Such is the unforgiving nature of the desert.

And such is the nature of our land…
